Our friends at ParticipACTION have declared that September 18th will be sports day in Canada. And they want to give all Canadians the opportunity to celebrate the power of sport to build community, fortify our national spirit and facilitate healthy, active living.
We at Safe Kids Canada want you and your kids to go out and participate in one of the many community events being held across Canada – but of course we want you to wear the right gear for the right activity. Remember if the professionals wear safety equipment, you should too! Staying safe will allow you to be healthy and active for years to come!

I think it's great that more awareness is brought to physical activity in our youth. Heck, let's make sure all people are aware that keeping moving is important. My Mom passed away because she was not active and her strength declined quickly. We should encourage others to move, move, move !
