Unintentional injuries are the number one cause of death for Canadian children between the ages of one to 14 years. Each year in Canada, on average, close to 300 children ages 14 and under are killed, another 21,000 are hospitalized for serious injuries, and hundreds of thousands of children are treated for injuries in emergency departments and doctors offices.
Preventable injuries among children cost Canadians $4 billion per year. Help us reduce the number of children who are injured each year so that they can lead active, healthy lives, while staying safe!
