As a national leader, Safe Kids Canada promotes effective strategies that increase knowledge and motivate change in behavior to prevent unintentional injuries. We are committed to ensuring that our injury prevention content and strategies are evidence-based or evidence-informed. Research is key to what we do. We use a range of knowledge translation strategies that help turn research into action, advance safety and reduce the burden of injuries to Canada’s children and youth. As knowledge brokers, we build capacity within the injury prevention sector by building linkages that facilitate interactions between researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and the public so that messages, programs and policies are credible and effective.
